Company Director Requirements

Requirements of Directors of companies or owners of businesses wishing to join the Textile Recycling Association

If any Directors of a company or an owner of a business wishing to join the Textile Recycling Association have been involved, at Director level or equivalent, in one or more organisations engaged in the used clothing/textile reclamation industry in the last ten years that:

• has previously ceased trading involuntarily;
• been declared insolvent;
• been subject to the appointment of an administrative receiver;
• been subject to a winding up order or an order for the appointment of an administrator;

then the application for membership cannot be approved.

Should any Directors of a company or an owner of a business wishing to join the Textile Recycling Association have been involved, at Director level or equivalent, in an organisation other than a used clothing/textile reclamation businesses, that has been subject to any of the issues listed above, then the Executive Committee will take this into consideration when evaluating an application for membership.

In addition should any Directors of a company or an owner of a business wishing to join the association have been involved, at Director level or equivalent in any organisation that has failed to pay any monies owed to the Textile Recycling Association or any Textile Recycling Association member this may also preclude them from membership.
